J. Ronald Pryor - President
Ronny Pryor began his lobbying career during the 1984 legislative session and founded Capitol Solutions, LLC in 1999.
Pryor has a distinguished 24 year career as a lobbyist in Frankfort effectively implementing the legislative goals and objectives for a variety of clients. Those clients include Yum! Brands, LifePoint and HCA Hospital Corporation of America, the Kentucky Hospital Association, Farm Credit Services, and Tyson Foods. He is known and respected by elected leaders of both political parties and is consistently regarded as one of Frankfort's most influential lobbyist for both the executive and legislative branches of state government. An articulate communicator with a rapid comprehension of complex issues, Ronny is known as someone who simply delivers for clients. Pryor was one of only four contract lobbyist named a “Power Player” in the 2008 Kentucky General Assembly in the Courier-Journal’s Legislative Preview.
Immediately prior to starting Capitol Solutions, Pryor served as Director of Public Affairs for the Kentucky Farm Bureau where he successfully led the organization to a #1 ranking for effectiveness and influence out of 533 employers/organizations with registered lobbyist.
Pryor served as Mayor for the City of Goshen from 1998-2001 and also served as a City Commissioner for five years. He holds both BS and MS degrees from Murray State University. Pryor was also named the 2004 Outstanding Agriculture Alumnus by the Murray State University Agriculture Alumni Association.
Pryor enjoys golfing and boating. He and his wife Karen M. Pryor have two daughters, Candace who is a registered nurse in Cincinnati and Kimberly who attends the University of Kentucky.
