BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) — Andy Beshear spent time in multiple parts of the 13 News viewing area Wednesday.

Beshear gave Rotarians a state of the union like speech for his office in Bowling Green.

The first term democrat talked about fighting scammers and helping the commonwealth’s senior citizens.

Beshear is coming off two lawsuit victories against Gov. Matt Bevin.

A state judge ruled Bevin did not have the power to abolish the University of Louisville board of trustees.

The state supreme court ruled Bevin did not have the authority to cut money from universities’ budgets.

“That ruling was made, I think over 12 days ago. So this case should be over. It’s time for the governor to release that $18 million to our universities. It means almost $1.5 million to WKU, money that is needed every single day on campus,” Beshear said.

The attorney general would not make any comment on any possible investigation into Gov. Bevin harassing lawmakers to switch parties.

Speaker of the House Greg Stumbo opened a bi-partisan committee Wednesday to look into that matter.
