The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources says the survey is available at www.research.net/r/KYDeerInput2016 through Sept. 9.
It says the survey is the first of its kind in more than a decade. It says the 46 questions cover such topics as buck and doe harvest, season length, youth and mentor opportunities, legal equipment and alternative hunting methods.
Gabe Jenkins, deer program coordinator for Kentucky Fish and Wildlife, says hunters in Kentucky are harvesting record numbers of deer. But he says there may be things that could be done better.
Jenkins says he’s interested in whether hunters are seeing more or fewer deer compared to a decade ago.
