Elaine Chao, the former Labor Secretary under President George W. Bush, will be President-elect Donald Trump’s choice selection to lead the Department of Transportation, according to multiple national news outlets.

Both The New York Times and Politico, among other outlets, are reporting that Chao will be formally announced as Trump selection on Tuesday.

Chao is the wife of U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, and is the first Asian-American woman to hold a cabinet position. Chao met with Trump last week in New York at Trump Tower.

The selection, which will need to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate, comes as Trump continues to fill posts in his administration.

Other key positions are garnering wide attention and speculation, but have yet to be filled.
