CLARK COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – A large fire continued to burn in Clark County Sunday morning.

Fire officials said they were called to the Stuff Recycling Plant around four Saturday afternoon.

The fire is burning a scrap metal debris pile, which is estimated to be at least 200 feet long, 100 feet wide and 50 feet high.

“This contained everything from farm equipment, appliances you name it, is in this large pile,” said Ernest Barnes, Fire Chief, Clark County Fire Department.

Barnes said there are 50 firefighters on scene from several departments.

Despite the large blaze, firefighters say no injuries have been reported and no air quality alerts have been issued.

Barnes said the fire could continue to burn through the rest of the weekend.
