Rep. Jason Nemes, R-Louisville, has been elected to lead campaign efforts for the 2020 election cycle.

As Chairman of the House Republican Caucus Campaign Committee, Nemes will be responsible for overseeing recruitment efforts for the Republican House candidates, as well as fundraising and other organizational activities leading up to election day.

“Two years ago Kentuckians elected a super-majority of Republicans to the House of Representatives,” said Rep. Nemes in a release. “Since then we have worked with the Senate to enact job-growing policies that will help our communities and families thrive. But while we have done a great deal and are currently enjoying tremendous economic growth, we have a lot of work left to do. In this role, I look forward to solidifying the gains that we have made over the past two years for decades to come.”

Nemes was elected to his second term as state representative in November.
