PADUCAH, KY— All week, local leaders have shared our area’s arts and culture with representatives from 15 countries.
On Wednesday, the group toured the Carson Center. The international delegates took a behind-the-scenes look at how the center operates. One of them, Ahmed Almatar, is a mayor’s consultant from Al-Ahsa, another UNESCO Creative City in Saudi Arabia. He was impressed with Paducah.
“We saw in this small city a big achievement. What we saw this is a small sized marvelous achievement, especially in culture, roll of art,” Almatar said.
Wednesday was the last day of the five-day visit. This is the first time Paducah hosted the event.
