Care Innovations LLC, a telehealth company from California, confirmed Thursday that it will add 24 workers at new offices on Fourth Street in downtown Louisville.

The company, which specializes in the rapidly growing remote care delivery business, announced previously that it will build a campus downtown for research and development. The company, with state officials, said this week that the company’s $1.7 million, 7,000-square foot facility will focus on software development, testing, and data analytics.

It first located in Prospect in October 2015 to get closer to customers. The new offices will be at 401 S. Fourth St. Chief executive Randall Swanson said in an announcement that the company needs to expand its talent pool and “Louisville’s growing healthcare market is ideal for doing just that.”

“Louisville is seeing tremendous advancements in analytics, data science and technology within our lifelong wellness and aging cluster. Care Innovations’ expansion is a great example of how technology can innovate to meet the market’s advanced industry growth,” Mayor Greg Fischer said in the statement.

The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority gave preliminarily approved Care Innovations for up to $500,000 in performance-based tax incentives by meeting job and investment targets.
